Application custom domains (TenancyEngine)
Map verified hostnames to your application's portal, billing, and API surfaces per deployment environment.
Console: Application workspace → Environments → environment card → Custom domains
Requires a platform plan that includes custom domains (platform.custom_domains.max > 0) and Applications configure to add or verify hostnames.
Domain kinds
| Kind | Used for |
|---|---|
| Portal | Customer login, signup, and self-service portal |
| Billing | Hosted checkout and billing portal (TenaBill) |
| API | Optional API hostname when supported by your product |
Each environment (Production, Staging, Development) has its own domain set.
Adding a domain
- Open Environments and click Manage on the target environment card.
- Under Custom domains, click Add domain.
- Enter the hostname (e.g.
app.example.com). - Add the DNS TXT and CNAME records shown at your DNS provider.
- Click Verify after propagation (may take up to an hour).
Status shows Pending until verification succeeds, then Verified. Unverified domains are not served on the edge.
Plan limits
Your vendor organization's platform entitlement caps how many custom domains you can attach. The environment card shows Not available on current plan when the limit is zero — upgrade under Organizations → Entitlements.
